Fall has a pesky way of sneaking up on us. One day, you’re reveling in the sun, enjoying a frosty umbrella drink with friends. The next thing you know, you’re grumbling over a huge puddle that has accosted your open toe sandals… again. Where did the summer go? Where did this rain come from… and more importantly, how can we send it back?
If you’re like me, you’re in full denial mode that autumn is almost upon us. Boycott, I say! Keep wearing those sandals and refuse to break out the fall fashions just yet. To really stick it to the rainy season, keep eating frozen yogurt! That will show Fall who is boss, without the social stigma that comes along with wet feet and pants that are 6 inches too short. Some may laugh, but it’s never too late for a tasty frozen treat!
You can get the last laugh of the summer with the latest Groupon deal from Pinkberry. For only $5, you can get $10 worth of luscious Pinkberry frozen yogurt, topped with your favorite combination of fresh cut fruit, nuts, dessert bites, cereals, candies, you name it. Pinkberry’s frozen yogurt is non-fat with active yogurt cultures, to start you off on a good, healthy base. Pinkberry offers a good variety of regular and seasonal flavors, including coconut, mango, chocolate hazelnut, salted caramel, and, for the frozen yogurt purists, original. Unique flavors such as pomegranate, key lime, and piña colada make for a tempting surprise.
This week, BargainBunny couldn’t resist reviewing the Pinkberry $10 for $5 Groupon deal. On our field trip to the Pinkberry store in Burnaby’s Metrotown, we discovered that this delicious deal delivers true, tasty value that will save you cold, hard cash. It will also save you from some calories vs. ice cream, and perhaps even some guilt (if you chose your toppings wisely!).
After sampling several Pinkberry frozen yogurt flavors, we settled on our favorite combinations of flavors and toppings. We each chose a twist of mango and piña colada frozen yogurt, and topped with a combination of fresh strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, pineapple, granola, and shredded coconut. The delicious fruit was fresh cut that day, and the raspberries looked and tasted like they came right out of our garden. While one of the dynamic duo you know as BargainBunny would recommend forgoing the shredded coconut in the future, overall we couldn’t have been happier with the freshness, taste, quality, and value. We greatly enjoyed our customs creations, and give the Pinkberry $10 for $5 Groupon deal two very enthusiastic spoons up!
